Dr. Joshua D. Wallach is an Assistant Professor within the Yale School of Public Health. His research, which focuses on synthesizing, evaluating, and establishing the best clinical and public health evidence, falls within three main areas: meta-research (i.e., evaluating the design, conduct, and reporting of biomedical studies); systematic reviews and meta-analyses; and issues related to pharmaceutical regulation. His collaborations with the Yale-New Haven Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Funded Yale-Mayo Clinic Center for Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation (CERSI) have focused on evaluating the FDA’s regulatory policies, utilizing claims data to better understand the comparative safety of medical products in clinical practice, and synthesizing evidence. Dr. Wallach teaches meta-research at the Yale School of Public Health and is a Meta-Research Innovation Center at Stanford (METRICS) Faculty Affiliate. He completed his MS and PhD in Epidemiology and Clinical Research at Stanford University and his postdoctoral training as part of the Collaboration for Research Integrity and Transparency at Yale.
