I am an ecologist and meta-scientist funded by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship from the European Commission. I study how publicly shared research data (open data) contribute to improving transparency, reproducibility, and collaboration in science. I am also actively engaged in science policy through various appointments with Research Data Canada, the NSERC-CREATE Living Data Project, and the Canada National Committee for CODATA, among others. I am a co-founder of the Society for Open, Reliable, and Transparent Ecology and Evolutionary biology (SORTEE) and I serve on the society’s executive committee.
