Tim Parker is a Professor of Biology at Whitman College, USA and is the current President of SORTEE (Society for Open, Reliable, and Transparent Ecology & Evolutionary Biology). His interests in improving the reliability of ecological and evolutionary inferences emerged from his work in meta-analysis and the resulting insights into bias in published empirical results. Besides meta-analyses, he has co-authored multiple synthesis, review, and opinion papers related to improving the reliability of inference derived from published literature, and works on collaborative empirical studies to understand factors driving variability in empirical results in ecology and evolutionary biology.
