Alyssa received her B.A. from the University of Virginia, and her M.P.P. and Ph.D. from Georgetown University. Alyssa was trained as a developmental psychologist and is passionate about using data to inform policy, particularly within the juvenile justice system. As a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Virginia’s Biocomplexity Institute, Alyssa investigated researchers experiences reusing and sharing publicly accessible research data through interviews, a survey, and a workshop with researcher and stakeholders.
