David is a medical doctor and neuroscientist, he currently works as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Translational Psychiatry, University of Münster. As of 2022 he will start as a junior principal investigator at RWTH Aachen University, Germany, focusing on non-invasive neurotechnology for rehabilitation and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders. He has completed a medical doctorate (Dr. med.) on robot assisted motor learning at University College London in 2013, and a PhD in on clinical applications of neurofeedback training for depression and motor rehabilitation at Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) in 2018. In his research and teaching he uses open science research practices and he has a particular interest in meta-science topics. This interest has motivated him to co-found a neurotech consultancy start-up that aims to promote open science research practices for industrial research & development of non-invasive neurotechnology.
