Evidence Synthesis Librarian (PI on TRES Project)

Cozette Comer is the Evidence Synthesis Librarian at Virginia Tech University Libraries. She specializes in evidence synthesis review methodologies (e.g., systematic reviews and meta-analyses, scoping reviews, rapid reviews), comprehensive search design, formal critical appraisal of research, as well as methods and tools for large review management and automation. In her daily work, she consults with and mentors researchers and students on evidence synthesis methodology and supports relevant skills such as comprehensive search design and critical appraisal. She also partners with research teams as a methodological expert on their evidence synthesis reviews and pursues research focused on other areas of meta-science, such as replication and reproducibility. Cozette is passionate about helping researchers improve the validity, reliability, and usability of primary research through transparent reporting as a means to more successfully replicable and synthesizable research. In her role as Evidence Synthesis Librarian, she also is the library liaison to the Statistics and Mathematics Departments, the Computational Modeling and Data Analytics (CMDA) degree, and the Center for Biostatistics and Health Data Science.
